Overview
Element Three currently has only a sales dashboard, lacking a dedicated tool to visualize marketing efforts for clients. The current dashboard is too detailed, difficult to maintain, and not interactive. Our project requires us to design a simplified, client-friendly interface that is also easy to maintain and update for the Element Three team as well.
As a team of 9 students, we created high-fidelity mock-ups of screens of the dashboard that are visually appealing, easy to understand, and interactive. The interface highlights the customer journey, showcases marketing activities at each stage, and features performance dashboards for various aspects (e.g., sales).
Research
Due to the specific marketing terminology and because we have two user groups (Element Three's clients who could be part of the Executive team or the Marketing team), we had to do a lot of research to understand what we were designing. This involved delving deep into Element Three case studies, analysing other data visualization dashboards like Tableau, conducting interviews, and learning about marketing metrics and the marketing funnel, which is a requirement for the dashboard by our sponsors.
Below is one of the affinity diagrams we made, collating all our research.

Design
The personas we created from our research guided our entire design process. As a group, we first sketched all our ideas before creating multiple mid-fidelity versions of screens on Figma. Those screens were then used for testing and feedback before we developed one version of each screen further.
Below you can view the information architecture we created (top right), an example of low/mid fidelity home page (top left), and our iterated two versions of the homepage that we used in testing (bottom). There were multiple other screens such as one for campaign details that can be viewed in our documentation, presentation, or in the final prototype in the 'Results'.
Results
We created a prototype of our final screens to demonstrate how a user will interact with the final product. Try it out yourself below!
Though the prototype uses an example company ('GlowNest') just to demonstrate the customizable features of the dashboard such as the color, we also provided our project sponsors a plain template of the design.
